Traditional laundry-making

In the village of Paidochori, the local cultural association keeps organising events to help remembering the good old days, give respect to the traditions and keep the ancient heritage for the next generations to come.

Let the pictures talk to tell the story of doing the laundry the old fashioned way. In a trough with washing board, ash, fresh orange leaves and olive soap. Revival of the tiresome process as the old women did it once at the traditional Cretan villages.
