Kallergi refuge weekend walk

The girls who climbed up the coloured hills and came down from the White Mountains.

A bit of walking, better to say hiking, to the mountain refuge of Kallergi which is located on the western region of Crete, above the plateau of Omalos, at an altitude of 1680 metres at the White Mountains (Lefka Ori). It can be accessed by car, but in order to truly enjoy the breathtaking landscape, the fresh air, and of course to do a bit of exercise – you’d rather want to go on foot. Only 1 and a half hour (maybe two… depending on the number of times you wanna stop for taking pictures) via the 5km long dirt road from the village of Omalos.
